Over 400 learners from Groot Aub settlement received brand new shoes from Project Never Walk Alone on the 24th November 2022. The handover ceremony took place at Groot Aub Primary School today. Two more schools from Windhoek namely Chairman Mao Zedong Secondary School and St Andrews Primary School also joined the handover in Groot Aub with song and jubilation. The event was sponsored by the Capricorn Foundation represented by Mrs Veripura Muukua (Capricorn Foundation Coordinator) and Constituency Councillor Hon Piet Adam who all encouraged the children to walk into a new future.. The Capricorn Foundation sponsored the handover to a tune of N$100,000.

The project has now handed over 6000 pairs of shoes to date and celebrated its first anniversary in August 2022.
