PROJECT NEVER WALK ALONE SETS AMBITIOUS 3 YEAR PLAN

Project Never Walk Alone has just finalized an ambitious 3-year plan where they aim to restore the dignity of 31 500 barefooted children across Namibia.

For 2026, the project team will target 10 000 children in Oshana, Kharas, Otjozondjupa and Omusati which are the 4 regions who have not benefitted from the initiative thus far.

To date, the project assisted 12 750 barefooted children in Hardap 970, Omaheke 1291, Khomas  1853, Erongo 1058, Kavango East 1355, Kavango West 1200, Kunene 1823, Ohangwena 1000 and Zambezi 2200 pairs.

For 2027, the target will be to assist 11 500 children in Ohangwena, Kavango East, Kavango West and Kunene with 2500 pairs each with the exception of Kavango East that will receive 4000 pairs. Kavango East currently have the biggest number of barefooted children compared to all the regions with that figure currently standing at over 14000 children.

For 2028, another 10 000 children will be targeted for assistance this time in Ohangwena who has the second largest number of barefooted children, Khomas, Kavango East and Hardap.

Project Never Walk Alone is extremely aware how the lack of shoes affects more, school attendance and the overall confidence of the children and will thus try it’s outmost best to raise the required funds to assist these children as quickly as possible.

We are thus appealing to all sectors of our economy, especially the fishing and mining sectors who have made little or no contributions to date to play their part.
