Project Never Walk Alone concludes Erongo Visit
Project Never Walk Alone has concluded its Erongo regional visit by handing over 1250 brand new pairs of shoes. The beneficiaries from different schools were in a jubilant and celebratory mood as they welcomed the team to the various handover points. The handover started in Omaruru on Friday at 8h00 at Ubasen Primary School where the team was welcomed by all the schools in the Omaruru circuit (Ubasen PS, Waldfrieden PS, Otjiwarongo PS, Omatjete PS, Ozondati PS, Paheye PS, !Oe=gab PS and Brandberg PS).
The team that proceeded to Karibib and this handover took place at Ebenhaeser Primary School joined by Otjimbingwe Primary School. The final stop for the day was in Usakos at Erongosig Primary School joined by Elifas Goseb Primary School.
On Saturday, the team started with Swakopmund at Atlantic Junior Secondary School joined by Namib Primary School and ended the Erongo handover with Walvis Bay at Seaside Primary School joined by Naraville PS, !Nara PS, Tutaleni High School, Duinesig High School, Tutaleni PS, Immanuel Ruiters PS, JP Brand PS and Kuisebmund PS.
The Erongo handover was celebratory with artist like DJ Vuyo, Tswazis, Dee A and Franklin performing for the students at the various handovers. Founder and Servant of the Project Tim Ekandjo thanked the various sponsors and the Erongo Education leadership at the various schools for making the handover smooth. “We are very proud of all of you learners and we want you to know that we love you and want you to become the best you can be when you put on this brand new pair of shoes”. PNWA Ambassador Maria Hiwilepo also delivered an inspiring motivational talk to the learners who walked away inspired.
The project has so far handed over 3900 pairs of shoes and the next region will be announced in due course.#PNWA
